PISR joins BIMCO to boost credentials

PALAU International Ship Registry (PISR), the world's fastest growing ship registry, has joined the Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO) whose members include ship owners, operators, managers, brokers and agents.
Joining BIMCO offers opportunities for the registry to work alongside some of the biggest names in the maritime sector, reported Hellenic Shipping News.
PISR CEO Panos Kirnidis said: "They work with many of the world's leading ship owners and operators who are looking to source contracts and services that keep their fleet operations at the highest levels. At PISR we offer SMART services and it made complete sense for us to join BIMCO which as a forward-thinking organisation is pressing ahead with driving the maritime sector into the 21st century.
"Over the past few years we have recruited some of the leading young professionals to work at PISR and globally sourced deputy registrars and maritime leaders to develop our registry. This resulted in us being named the world's fastest growing flag in 2017 and I am convinced that as member of BIMCO we can drive on to greater success."
