Asia-Europe rate rises 1pc to US$897/TEU, up 3.3pc to USWC

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday rose one per cent to US$897 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade increased 2.8 per cent to $759 per TEU, American Shipper reported.
Asia to the US west coast up 3.3 per cent week-over-week to $1,514 per FEU while those to the east coast jumped 7.5 per cent to $2,608 per FEU.
