US railways praise Trump for minimising red tape obstruction

THE Association of American Railroads (AAR) welcomed efforts by the President Donald Trump administration to enhance US energy security and reduce infrastructure inefficiencies.
"Streamlining processes to better realise our nation's abundant resources should be noncontroversial, as it will help create quality jobs for Americans and make energy more affordable," said AAR president and CEO Ian Jefferies.
"Our sector welcomes the executive order that allows companies to get products to market quicker. This includes efforts to modernise project planning and permitting process, which has been used to slow and block infrastructure projects," he said.
