Asia-Europe rate falls 0.7pc to US$891/TEU, off 5.2pc to USWC

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday fell 0.7 per cent to US$891 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade increased 0.3 per cent to $761 per TEU, American Shipper reported.
Asia to the US west coast dropped 5.2 per cent week-over-week to $1,436 per FEU while those to the east coast jumped 7.1 per cent to $2,792 per FEU.
