Global Ship Lease charters 2,824 and 5,095 TEUers to Maersk, MSC

LONDON's Global Ship Lease has chartered two of its vessels, one with to Maersk and theMediterranean Shipping Co (MSC), reports Singapore's Splash 247.
MSC is taking the 2,824-TEU GSL Valerie for 12 months at US$9,000 per day while Maersk has chartered the 5,095-TEU Orca I for 12-14 months at $9,000 per diem and $10,000 per day thereafter.
Said GSL chief executive Ian Webber: "We're pleased to have secured these new charters with top-tier counterparties. Our ability to achieve full fleet employment supports our efforts to unlock shareholder value."
