Zambian government to find out when Crown Air Cargo will commence operations

ZAMBIA's Minister of Transport and Communications Brian Mushimba has announced that the government will contact Crown Air Cargo shortly to find out when the company plans to commence operations in Zambia.
The South African company had expressed an interest early last year to establish a cargo airline in Zambia, which would create 212 direct jobs and 2,800 indirect jobs.
Mr Mushimba said four months ago, the company was dealing with regulatory procedures in Zambia and South Africa, reported Times of Zambia.
Now in an interview, the Minister said he would follow up the matter to find out when the company would start operations.
"I will follow it up to find out how far they have gone with the preparations," Mr Mushimba said, adding that the airline would build high-tech cargo handling infrastructure at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
