THE Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA) has asked the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority to take steps to protect the exports cargo from the impact of monsoon rains at Karachi Airport, reports the Karachi Business Recorder.
In a letter to CAA officials, PHMA chief Muhammad Javed Bilwani said that the officials at Air Cargo Terminal of the Karachi Airport have not taken any steps to make the exports consignments secure from the rains.
"You are requested to kindly take serious notice and direct the concerned to take all necessary steps, safety and security measures to prevent damage and loss of export goods being transported through air cargo from Karachi Airport and other airports in Pakistan," the letter said.
