Seaspan buys 9,600-TEU ship and charters it out to ONE

SEASPAN Corporation, a charter owner and operator of containerships, has purchased a 2010-built 9,600-TEU containership and entered into a fixed-rate time charter agreement for the vessel with Japan's Ocean Network Express (ONE).
The time charter will cover a period of 36 months and includes an option for up to an additional four months.
Seaspan expects to take delivery of the vessel by the end of April 2020, which will raise the size of its fleet to 113 vessels.
