Asia-Europe rate up 2.4pc to US$594/TEU, USWC remains flat at $1,361/FEU

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday recorded a small gain of 2.4 per cent to US$594 per TEU.
Asia-Mediterranean rates were stable at $710 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai-US west coast remained flat at $1,361 per FEU while China-US east coast increased 1.6 per cent to $2,411 per FEU.
