Lufthansa Group's cargo load factor rises slightly to 71.1 per cent

THE Lufthansa Group's cargo load factor across all its airlines remained virtually flat in February after rising marginally by 0.2 percentage points year on year to 71.1 per cent.
Capacity for the month, at 1,165 million available tonne-kilometres, was up by 5.9 per cent compared to February in 2017, with revenue tonne-km up by 6.3 per cent to 828 million, reported London's Air Cargo News.
On a regional basis, increases in the cargo load factor were recorded on North American, South American, Middle Eastern and African routes. However, European and Asia Pacific routes registered declines in their cargo load factors.
The Lufthansa Group includes Lufthansa German Airlines, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings, Germanwings andBrussels Airlines.
