WORLDWIDE Flight Services' (WFS) cargo handling contract with Qatar Airways Cargo at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport has been extended to cover ramp transport as well as cargo handling for its three daily flights from Doha to Paris.
This follows EVA Air's decision to extend its contract with WFS in Paris to also include ramp transport, moving cargo to and from the warehouse as well as cargo handling. The carrier provides a daily flight from Paris CDG to Taipei.
Paris-based WFS is the largest cargo handler at Charles de Gaulle and serves 150 airlines. In 2017, it saw volumes handled at the airport increase by 10 per cent year on year, reported the American Journal of Transportation.
Said Qatar Airways European cargo sales chief Stephane Scholving: "It is always especially pleasing when major airline customers decide to award you responsibility for their whole chain from acceptance of cargo to delivery to the aircraft side.
"Qatar Airways and EVA Air have shown this commitment to WFS in Paris and by taking their end-to-end services, we are confident of delivering important service quality benefits to both airlines and their customers."
