Asia-Europe rate steady at US$960/TEU, off 2.3pc to USWC

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe last week were unchanged at US$960 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Meanwhile, the Asia-Mediterranean rate edged up 0.5 per cent to $962 per TEU. Asia to US west coast decreased 2.3 per cent to $1,993 per FEU while those to the east coast were off 2.6 per cent to $3,054 per FEU.
