DHL sets up e-commerce platform to link retailers to global fulfilment centres

DHL Parcel and DHL eCommerce have rolled out a new global e-commerce platform to enable online retailers to access all its e-commerce fulfilment centres from a single portal, as well as opened a new fulfilment centre in the UK.
Retailers will be able to integrate the new DHL solution into their web shops and have access to various reporting options in real time to view current order data, or the stock of individual products, reported London's Air Cargo News.
The objective is to facilitate simple and secure data synchronisation as well as an easy connection to new business locations or regions.
In a related development, the company has opened a new 6,500 square metre fulfilment centre in Radlett in the UK. The centre will offer same-day processing for the Greater London area.
It already operates similar fulfilment centres in the US, Mexico, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Australia and Germany.
