Port of Richmond holds international trade meet May 9

THE Virginia Port Authority's (VPA) will hold the International Trade Symposium from May 9-11 at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott Hotel and Conference Centre, 235 E Main Street, Norfolk, Virginia, to discuss "Having Data Isn't Enough: How The Port Of Virginia Acts On Data To Drive Growth, Service and Efficiency".
Keynote luncheon speaker will be John Reinhart, CEO and executive director of the Virginia Port Authority, who will discuss business development and growth, strategic marketing, finance, and operations of the Port of Virginia, the fifth biggest port in the US.
Before joining the VPA, Mr Reinhart worked for US-flagged Maersk Line Limited, serving as CEO from 2000-2014. He received his bachelor's in political science from Ohio University and later earned an MBA from the University of Michigan.
The agenda for the event will be a Monday maritime mixer networking cruise on May 9, followed the next day by the International Trade Symposium and 98th Annual Maritime Banquet, and closing off with the Annual Golf Outing on May 11.
