Asia-Europe rates rise 3.2pc to US$830/TEU, USWC dip 2.4pc at $1,361/FEU

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending last Friday rose 3.2 per cent to US$830 per TEU.
Asia-Mediterranean rates edged down 1.4 per cent at $915 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast fell 2.4 per cent to $1,361 per FEU while China-US east coast increased slightly to $2,679 per FEU.
