Rates off 8pc overall, Freightos sees 4pc A-E fall, plus 1pc loss to USWC

WITH the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI) unable to publish because of the coronavirus outbreak, only the Ningbo Containerised Freight Index (NCFI) was able to report a cumulative decline last week of eight per cent on the week.
Hong Kong's Freightos Baltic Index (FBX) from China to north Europe posted four per cent decline to US$1,758 per FEU and a one per cent drop for Mediterranean ports to $2,333 per FEU, reported London's Loadstar. From China to the US the Freightos posted a one per cent drop for to the US west coast to $1,486 per FEU, and another one per cent drop to the US east coast to $2,830 per FEU.
