Asia-Europe falls 1.8pc to US$834/TEU, USWC off 3.9pc to $1,423/FEU

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday edged down 1.8 per cent to US$$834 per TEU.
Asia-Mediterranean rates fell 5.2 per cent to $977 per teu.TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast fell 3.9 per cent $1,423/FEU while China-US east coast fell 3.1 per cent drop to $2,768 per FEU.
