CMA CGM hikes Asia - Somalia, Seychelles, Maldives rate US$300/TEU

FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM will levy a rate increase of US$300 per TEU on cargo from Asia to Somalia, Seychelles and the Maldives.
"In a continued effort to provide our customers with reliable and efficient service, CMA CGM informs of the General Rate Restoration effective April 15," the company statement said.
For the purposes of this GRR, Asia includes China, Taiwan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, East Coast of India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, (excluding Japan) to Mogadishu (Somalia), Port Victoria (Seychelles) and Male (Maldives).
