Asia-Europe off 4.1pc to US$764/TEU, USWC falls 2.2pc to $1,515/FEU

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday fell 4.1 per cent to US$764 per TEU.
Asia-Mediterranean rates edged down 1.3 per cent at $880 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast fell 2.2 per cent to $1,515 per FEU while China-US east coast fell one per cent to $2,758 per FEU.
