Asia-Europe rates down 4.1 pc to US$764/TEU, USWC dip 2.2pc at $1,515/FEU

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending last Friday declined 4.1 per cent to US$764 per TEU.
Asia-Mediterranean rates edged down 1.3 per cent at $880 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast fell 2.2 per cent to $1,515 per FEU while China-US east coast slid 1.0 per cent to $2,758 per FEU.
