    Liverpool maritime convention to focus on Brexit June 21

    THE International Maritime Forum which will be held in Liverpool on June 21, as part of the International Business Festival that will focus on trade post Brexit.

    Entitled "The Northern Maritime Powerhouse: Driving Global Trade Post-Brexit", the conference will look at how digitalisation and increased connectivity can enhance port processes and drive innovation to boost global commerce.

    It will discuss blockchain technologies and Big Data in the context of streamlining shipping and port operations to the lasting benefit of the end-users as well as the importers and exporters. 

    Organised by Shipping Innovation, creator of London International Shipping Week, this high-level forum is designed to spark lively debate among key ports, shippers and supply chain leaders.

    "Britain will be forced to reach out to the East and to the West to develop new trading partners, exploit new capacities and learn new ideas from world-leading ports and maritime authorities," said Llewellyn Bankes-Hughes, director of Shipping Innovation.
