Hapag-Lloyd ups east Asia/Oceania rate US$300 to Red Sea

GERMAN shipping giant Hapag Lloyd has announced a US$300 per TEU general rate increase from east Asia including Japan and Oceania to Arabian Gulf and Red Sea from July 1.
"This increase is needed to ensure that we can continue to offer you the service quality you are used to. It will apply to all dry, reefer, non-operating reefer, tank, flat rack and open-top containers," said the company statement.
