THE ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre (ISC) Piracy and Sea Robbery Conference 2018 will be for the first time held in Hong Kong on June 12 at the Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View Hotel, and will focus on trends in Asia over the past decade and the outlook for the near future.
The conference speakers will attempt to answer: What is the latest situation in the Sulu-Celebes Seas? What are law enforcement authorities doing to counter piracy and armed robbery against ships in Malaysia and Indonesia? What is the status of maritime safety in waters off Somalia and in the Gulf of Guinea?
ReCAAP ISC, the first regional government-to-government agreement to promote and enhance cooperation against piracy and armed robbery against ships in Asia, has organised the event in conjunction with the international shipping associations BIMCO and INTERTANKO.
