Asia-Europe fell 1.4pc to US$920/TEU, USWC up 4.7pc at $2,794/FEU

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending last Friday edged up 1.4 per cent to US$920 per TEU.
For Mediterranean ports, rates fell 2 per cent to $940 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast rose 4.7 per cent to $2,794 per FEU while China-US east coast fell 1.1 per cent to $3,334 FEU.
