Asia-Europe 1.3pc to US$886/TEU, USWC off 3.1pc to $2,669/FEU

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday increased 1.3pc to US$886 per TEU.
Asia-Mediterranean rates fell 0.5 per cent to $949, per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast fell 3.1 per cent to $2,669 per FEU while China-US east coast increased one per cent to $3,288 per FEU.
