Panama-flagged car carrier fire in Incheon destroys more than 1,000 cars

MORE than 1,000 cars were ablaze at the Port of Incheon when and overheated engine in one used car bound for Libya, sparked a fire the 23,052-dwt Panama flagged Auto Banner.
The fire broke out on a cargo deck after an overheated engine in one of the used cars destined for Libya caught fire, according to Kiev's Maritime Bulletin, a marine casualty news portal.
The fire raged with 1,200 of the 2,100 used cars on the vessel’s cargo decks on fire. Three teams of eight men each were said to be on board engaged in firefighting.
