SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending last Friday increased 0.5 per cent to US$910 per TEU.
For Mediterranean ports, rates fell 1.07 per cent to $950 per TEU, according to Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Rates from Shanghai to US west coast fell 0.7 per cent to $3,144 per FEU while China-US east coast soared nine per cent to $3,504 per FEU.
