Changi airfreight volume up 4.5pc in April

SINGAPORE Changi Airport handled 179,410 tonnes cargo in April, a 4.5 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
As at May 1 this year, more than 100 airlines operate at Changi Airport, connecting Singapore to some 400 cities in about 100 countries and territories worldwide. With more than 7,200 weekly scheduled flights, an aircraft takes off or lands at Changi roughly once every 80 seconds.
