Cai Mep-Thi Vai port complex upgrades Vietnamese roads

THE Vung Tau People's Committee has told agencies to speed up work on crucial transport projects to reports help connections to the Cai Mep-Thi Vai port complex in the province's Phu My Town, reports Hanoi's Vietnam News Agency (VNA).
The Cai Mep-Thi Vai port complex handled 112.8 million tonnes of cargo last year. One of the projects is the 9.7-km 991B Road from National Highway 51 downstream of the Cai Mep Port.
The 991B Road has an investment capital of US$170.6 million from provincial and central state budgets. It's scheduled to be put into operation in 2024.
Another project is the Phuoc Hoa - Cai Mep road which has a length of 4.4 km, and is among the key road projects that will improve goods transport to the complex.
The project has an investment capital of $41.1 million and is funded from the provincial state budget. It connects National Highway 51 with the interport road at the Cai Mep-Thi Vai port complex and is scheduled to be finished this year.
The 2.6-km My Xuan-Thi Vai road project has an investment capital of $17.5 million from the provincial budget and is scheduled to be completed by 2023, with the 3.7-km Long Son-Cai Mep road project by 2025.
The Phuoc An bridge project has an investment capital of $207.2 million and is also among the key transport projects.
