Results show Beibu Gulf now fastest growing box port in China in 2020

THE Beibu Gulf Port Co Ltd posted a container throughput of 5.05 million TEU in 2020, an increase of 32.2 per cent year on year, making it to be the top coastal port achieving the fastest growth rate in China, reports Colchester's Seatrade Maritime News.
The cargo throughput of Beibu Gulf port was 238 million tons, an increase of 16.21 per cent year on year.
As the end of last year, Beibu Gulf port operated 52 container shipping services, including 28 foreign trade services, covering the major regions in Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia.

To further improve port handling capacity, Beibu Gulf Port is planning to issue CNY3 billion (US$461 million) convertible bonds to purchase terminal and berth assets at Qinzhou port and Fangcheng port.
Beibu Gulf Port aims to complete 265 million tons cargo throughput and six million TEU in 2021.
