CMA CGM levies US$300 extra on overweight TEUs Asia-ECSA

FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has announced a US$300 per TEU Overweight Surcharge to be applied to 20-foot containers weighing 18 tons or more.
The surcharge will apply from September 5 until further notice on cargo from North East Asia, South East Asia, China, Hong Kong & Macau and India bound for the east coast of South America.
