HMM's (Hyundai Merchant Marine) twelve 24,000-TEU ships have been fully loaded with cargo on their very first voyage, reports Bangalore's Maritime and Salvage WorldNews.

All 24,000-TEU ships provided by HMM have made their initial trip with a complete lot of cargo, beginning with HMM Algeciras lugging 19,621 TEU last May.

The optimum loadable capability of each 24,000-TEU ship stands at around 19,300 TEU due to the safety and security of vessel procedures and cargo weight.

"This is a major milestone for us to expand our presence in the global market in close cooperation with THE Alliance," said HMM CEO Jae-Hoon Bae.

"I am delighted that our efforts and dedication have come to fruition, which gave us a much-needed uplift. We will take a big step forward to prove what we are capable of in the years ahead," said Mr Bae.

HMM had an operating revenue of US$115 million in the second quarter, and is looking to boost its success based on the smooth procedure of 24,000-TEU ships.
