Georgia Governor suspends rules on trucker hours of service

GEORGIA Governor Brian Kemp has suspended enforcement of federal limits on hours of service for commercial vehicle operations in Georgia, reports CBS News.
Mr Kemp has also loosened weight restrictions for trucks on Georgia highways. The announcement came in an executive order declaring the Covid crisis a state of emergency.
The adjusted trucking rules will remain effective for 30 days, or until the state of emergency is lifted.
