KUWAIT's National Aviation Services (NAS) has renewed its International Air Transport Association's Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) for the fifth time, reports Mumbai's Logistics Update Africa.

In 2008, NAS was one of the first ground handling companies to be ISAGO registered and has since been conforming to IATA's highest standards of safety in operations processes and procedures.

NAS holds station accreditations at seven locations in Africa and the Middle East.

"It's always great to see NAS recognised for safety in the area of ground operations. This is the fifth time we have received the ISAGO recognition and it is even more significant because we managed the audit in between a global pandemic and airport closures," said NAS chief executive Hassan El-Houry.

"This posed several challenges, but we managed to sail through with adaptability and resilience. Despite the difficulties, we continued to persevere and serve the industry to drive its full potential and kept essential supply chains across our network flowing uninterrupted," said Mr El-Houry.
