THE Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand's (CAAT) latest statistics show that low-cost carrier Thai Vietjet is leading Thailand in the domestic air cargo market, reports Singapore's Payload Asia.
The airline gained 42.2 per cent of the market share in domestic airfreight in the third quarter of 2021. It also saw 25.6 per cent of passenger share in the same period.
Vietjet is set to introduce many new cargo services this year while they solidify its global position in cargo transport.
The carrier has expanded its modern fleet to 16 aircraft and in early November, the airline commemorated its ten millionth passenger.
The airline operates 14 domestic routes from Bangkok, cross-regional flights from Phuket, eight routes connecting Thailand and Vietnam, and international routes from Thailand to China.
