Asia-Europe rate down 0.5pc to US$881/TEU, up 0.6pc to USWC

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday declined 0.5 per cent to US$881 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade fell 1.1 per cent to $903 per TEU. Asia to the US west coast rose 0.6 per cent to $1,555 per FEU while those to the east coast up 3.9 per cent to $2,623 per FEU.
