FRENCH forwarding giant Bollore Logistics has opened a container freight station (CFS) in Prince Rupert, British Columbia 17 kiliometres from the main port, reports the American Journal of Transportation.
Consisting of a 20,000 square foot warehouse and two-acre lay down area, the CFS was originally opened to provide container destuffing and transloading services for a large industrial project in region.
Having handled 600 transloads handled and 8,000 empty containers stored, it is now ready to take on new customers, the goal being to offer a permanent transload presence at the Canadian west coast port.
