MSC levies US$500/TEU GRI on US/Canada exports May 9

THE Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), that some reckon is now the world's biggest container carrier, will impose a US$500 per TEU general rate increase of all containerised exports from North America from May 9, the company announced.
The rate increase will apply to all containerised exports, , regardless of equipment type, from the US and Canada to the Far East, Israel, Oceania, Africa, US, Mexico, Canada, Bahamas and the west coast of South America.
