The 1,700-TEU Wan Hai 176 that suffered engine failure in heavy weather off Point Reyes with 21 men aboard, has been towed into San Francisco Bay anchorage nine, according to the US Coast Guard, reports CBS News.
Favourable weather conditions allowed the Delta Deanna, a 112-foot tug, to pass tow lines to the Wan Hai 176¡¦s crew.
The Singapore-flagged Wan Hai carries miscellaneous material in 783 containers and has no reported hazardous materials. It reportedly carries 39,000 gallons of fuel.
