MSC Erminia makes first call at India's west coast Mangalore

THE New Mangalore Port Authority achieved yet another milestone when it received the first mainline container vessel, the 3,720-TEU MSC Erminia on July 3, reports Chennai's Hindu daily.
The vessel was greeted by the Indian west coast port with traditional water cannons. NMPA chairman AV Ramana flagged off container discharging at the berth in the presence of heads of departments and officials.
