Cargotec to start buying back its shares

FINNISH cargo handling equipment provider Cargotec is to repurchase the company's own shares to be used as reward payments for the company's share-based incentive programmes.
Cargotec's Board of Directors decided on the move at its Annual General Meeting on March 17, 2022. The company will repurchase 7,000 class B shares and the shares will be purchased at public trading on Nasdaq Helsinki Ltd at the market price.
In a statement, the company said the repurchases will start today (February 8, 2023) at the earliest.
According to the authorization given to the Board of Directors by the Annual General Meeting, the maximum amount of shares that can be acquired is 952,000 class A shares and 5,448,000 class B shares.
In the beginning of February 2023, Cargotec held a total of 224,840 own class B shares.
