    300,000 containers shipped via land-sea trade corridor this year

    ACCORDING to China Railway Nanning Group Co, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has witnessed a growth of 14 per cent year on year, with over 300,000 TEU transported on the railway's intermodal freight trains this year, reports Xinhua.

    During the first quarter of this year, Nanning Customs recorded increased foreign trade activities in the materials and new energy industries along the new western land-sea corridor.

    Imported via Qinzhou Port, a total of 40,000 tonnes of new energy raw materials, including nickel-sulfur, ferronickel, and spodumene, have been transported along the new western land-sea corridor, marking a significant 37-fold increase compared to the previous year.

    The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor was launched in 2017 as a collaborative effort between Western Chinese provinces and ASEAN member states.

    It encompasses 17 provinces and 61 cities in China, with its reach extending to 393 ports in 119 countries and regions.
