A MAN's purchase of a seemingly unremarkable storage container for a mere US$99 has unveiled an astonishing discovery worth over $750,000, reports London Daily Star.

The story dates back to 1989 when an American individual, in collaboration with his brother, delved into the contents of their economic acquisition, only to uncover one of the most renowned vehicles in cinematic history.

Initially the brothers encountered what appeared to be an enigmatic mass shrouded in blankets and paid little attention to it.

A cursory examination yielded nothing more than this bulky form.

However, upon closer inspection, they realized that the obscured object was, in fact, a roof-dented white sports car lacking wheels.

Taking the step to authenticate their find, the siblings soon learned that the unassuming car was none other than the famed James Bond submarine vehicle featured in "The Spy Who Loved Me."

Referred to as 'Wet Nellie' during production, this unique creation had a reported cost exceeding $100,000 to build during the 1970s.

Stealing the spotlight in the 1977 film alongside Roger Moore and Barbara Bach, the car participated in a thrilling mountaintop pursuit before dramatically plunging into the depths of the ocean, becoming an iconic piece of cinema history.
