10,000-TEU Cosco containership goes wild in Koper in Adriatic

ON the afternoon of July 26, the 10,000-TEU Xin Beijing suffered a mishap at Slovenia's Koper container terminal due to strong and gusty winds, reports Rostock, Germany's FleetMon.
The ship broke off its moorings and drifted across the basin, heading towards the opposite berths.
Thankfully, timely action from two tugs prevented a collision with the berthed ships, and the ship was brought under control in 20 minutes.
Fortunately, no damages were reported as a result of the incident.
As of the morning of July 27, Xin Beijing remained berthed at Koper after arriving from Trieste.
