AMAZON has recently increased the minimum spending requirement for certain non-Prime customers to receive free shipping on its platform, reports the Associated Press.
Now, in order to qualify for cost-free deliveries, these customers are required to spend US$35, which is an increase from the previous threshold of $25.
This shift in policy has been confirmed by Amazon spokeswoman Kristina Pressentin.
The change, initially reported by the eCommerce Bytes blog, does not affect Prime members who continue to enjoy free shipping, along with other benefits, by paying a monthly fee of $14.99 or an annual subscription fee of $139.
