Europa Air & Sea hires first UK general manager

EUROPA Air & Sea has appointed Miles O'Donnell as its first general manager for the UK & Ireland, reports London's Air Cargo News.
With almost two decades of experience working in transport and logistics and 10 years at Europa Worldwide Group, Mr O'Donnell is now responsible for both the sales and operational sides of the UK team.
The appointment is part of the company's organic growth strategy in the UK, which involves increasing the number of business development managers to ensure specialist air and sea freight expertise is easily accessible to localized customers.
The appointment also forms part of a restructure, with Europa Air & Sea now having over 100 staff globally.
As well as local branch presence across the UK & Ireland, Europa's main airfreight team is based in Heathrow and its seafreight team is based in Birmingham.
Internationally, Europa Air & Sea has recently opened offices in Shanghai, Dubai, Shenzhen and Delhi.
Angus Hind, director of Europa Air & Sea, commented: "Miles' new role will give him responsibility for both the operations and sales of the division in the UK.
