Two feared dead as Japanese ship capsizes following collision

A tragic incident unfolded in Japanese waters as a general cargo ship collided with a boxship, leading to the capsizing of the former and raising concerns about the well-being of two seafarers feared to have lost their lives, reports Singapore's Splash 247.
The collision occurred shortly before midnight, situated south of Osaka.
The vessel named Izumi Maru, measuring 72.58 meters in length, tragically overturned following its contact with the Contship Uno, a boxship spanning 148 metres in length and chartered by TS Lines.
Due to the collision, the Contship Uno sustained minor damage to its bow.
