Asia-Europe rate dips 2.7pc to US$933/TEU, rises 8.1pc to USWC

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday dipped 2.7 per cent to US$933 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade decreased 0.8 per cent to $908 per TEU, London's Loadstar reported.
Asia to the US west coast grew 8.1 per cent to $2,298 per FEU while those to the east coast edged up 4.7 per cent to $3,485 per FEU.
