SHIPPING agent Tribeca reported that traffic came to a halt in Turkey's Bosphorus recently due to an engine failure experienced by a bulk carrier at the southern end of the strait passing through Istanbul, reports Reuters.
The Liberian-flagged bulk carrier Alexis encountered an engine failure at 5 am (0200 GMT).
Authorities dispatched vessels to the area anticipating a potential salvage operation.
