HONG Kong's logistics and freight forwarding industry welcomed chief executive John Lee's 2024 policy address, which outlined plans to expand air cargo capacity and logistics services in the Greater Bay Area, reports London's Air Cargo News.

The initiatives include developing state-of-the-art logistics facilities and enhancing cross-boundary e-commerce logistics.

HAFFA chairman Gary Lau praised the government's commitment to strengthening Hong Kong's global aviation and logistics hub position, mainly through partnerships with neighbouring regions and improvements to infrastructure, such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.
